Over the last year or so each release of GBPVR has removed various problems (great work Sub) - and now I have only one remaining that effects me.....

When playing back files recorded by GBPVR I find that any navigation method used has a chance of disrupting the sync by approx 1 second. using combinations of FF, RW, skip and skip back can get me back in sync. I estimate success after each 'navigation' to be around 30-50%.

Looking in this forum it does not seem to be a common fault so I assume it is specific to my setup. Does anyone have ideas to resolve this issue.

I am using
Nova-T (PCI 90002) (UK DVB-T)
ShowShifter 3.12.0.2945 mux
MediaMVP rev D3A
GBPVR v0.93.10
dongle.bin that came with the above GBPVR release

All help would be appreciated

Regards, Paul

I'm guessing if you changed mux, it would affect this.

As well as the SS mux I have the cyberlink 5.0.0727 mux installed on my system .

I found that when I last used the cyberlink mux the recording service would crash about one in 3 times at the end of a recording. This was several versions of GBPVR back (6 months at least). And I know since then the quality of the SS mux recordings improved due to a GBPVR update. Also since then I have installed new nova-T drivers to support dual cards.

I have just noticed that the list of muxes supported has grown since I have messed about in this area. Which mux would you recommend? (and where could I get it from!)

Thanks

I have been getting exactly the same symptoms as you and have virtually the same setup, I am also currently using the SS demuxer since I found that it was the only one that I tried that worked at all well. I am a little confused as to where I can obtain specific versions of the Cyberlink demuxer since I have tried a few trial versions of their software but Mux Checker is still reporting 5.0.0727 which doesn't work for me.
If anyone has any suggestions I am desperate to find a solution as it is spoiling an otherwise exellent piece of software. I would also note that the problem only happens when watching via the MVP, there are no problems FF and REW on the PC itself.

Thanks in advance.

The location of later version of the Cyberlink mux is discussed in this thread: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...5.0.0.1307

Scim (and anyone else). I reverted back to cyberlink 5.0.0727 but it crased the recording service just like it always did.

The good news is that the Cyberlink 5.0.0.1307 is stable on my system and has not caused any issues in over a week now. It also fixes the issue of the MVP losing sync on skip, ff etc. I will be relying on it for my Christmas recordings.

The download file for the Twinhan site is big (50Mb if I remember correctly), and you will need to find a copy of unrar to extract the mux file you are interested in, but it is worth the effort - it works - Thanks Sub.
