Sub, I received a wintv150 mce bundle with remote (the one discussed in this thread, without colored buttons). Is it fully supported? I tried it and all the transport/number functions work. But some of the "direct access buttons don't seem to do anything.

My TV
My Music
My Pictures
My videos
Windows Key
Recorded TV
Guide
Live TV

The set up I tested this on does not have a tuner installed and therefore no guide or live TV so those might work but how about some of the others. Are they supported? If so what do I need to do to get them to work?

My Pictures ----> to open picture plugin of my choice.
Recorded TV ----> to open Xrecord

Stuff like that. Do I need to modify the Keymap XML?

Thanks

Did the colour buttons on the European MCE get sorted as I too have that remote and they don't do anything, whereas on my hauppauge remote they do various things in various plugins! LMK if you want anymore info,

To be honest, no. I dont really know anything about this remote except for what is written in this thread. Your best chance is to make sure you've set the remote type to MCE, then hope some of the buttons work.

The fact the US version doesnt have the color buttons is a bit of a hassle too.

Tell me about it. I sure would be nice if it did have the colored buttons. That would give the same flexability as the Hauppauge 45button remote.

Oh well. I'm going to give HIP a try. Hopefully it will add the programability to the MCE remote.

Thanks

sure, give this a try.

The list of commands is in two halves. the commands at the top are the MCE remote, the ones at the bottom are duplicates except they start with 'Z_' and its these ones that are the hauppague commands. theres als hipsend commands in there too...
