MediaMVP not connecting to server

I just received my MVP and was trying to connect it. Everything went well with the software install. However, when the MVP boots, it does not say "Contacting DHCP Server". It gives the message "Checking ethernet connectivity". It then goes to the "Contacting MediaMVP Bootserver" message and just sits there. I have checked my router and it does not appear to be getting a DHCP address from it. All that is listed is my 2 computers and my other wireless router. The MVP is cabled to my SMC router @ 100mbps.

I have made sure that the XP firewall is off.

My configuration is:

Dell Dimension 8250 (2.5ghz 256mb)
PVR150
Media MVP 1000
SMC Barricade router

and, of course, GBPVR

As it turns out... It started working today! Not sure why but I'm not going to question it! Now I'll go and apply the Tipster's tweaks and see what happens!
