Also, Sub could you tell me if I change the bitrate of "medium" in the config, will that bit rate be used for all pending recordings or will I have to go back and set them up again to use the new bitrate?

The new settings will be used when your recordings start. You wont need to reschedule them.

if someone where willing to code a calculator class would it be possible to integrate it into the recordings scheduler so that when you choose to do a recording it can give you an estimated size based on video/audio settings?
