Best MPEG2 Decoder?

Hi guys,

I noticed that the best MPEG2 decoder makes all the difference. I tried GBPVR with my old Intervideo windvd decoder, this has been performing well but I don't get any OSD with VMR 9 (I am aware of this issue with Cyberlink, but haven't found anything aout WinDVD), and if I go with overlay the fonts look grainy and broken.

So I downloaded the trial version of cyberlink DVD, and the perfromance on my AMD 1.4Ghz was AWFUL. out of sync, gets stuck, etc...

So what decoder is the best for GBPVR? Is it elecard? I downloaded their coder pack but couldn't find it under 'avaialble decoders' under GBPVR.

Most people are using either the Cyberlink or Intervideo decoders.

I'm surprised you had problems with both - they work very well out of the box for most people.

I've not heard of any issues that can cause lack of OSD with VMR9 for Intervideo. I suspect if you looked at your gbpvr.exe-native.log you'd find it wasnt actually using the Intervideo decoder.
