Jump to a channel quickly ?

Hi,

I am a newbie in this. I set up a PVR-150 and MVP. I added all channels manually by frequencies. In my country, we don't have EPG.

I am wondering how can I jump to a certain channel quickly. I tried to press the number of a channel on the MVP remote but nothing happened. When I went to "TV Guide", it listed all the channels there. I can scroll up or down channels but couldn't press OK/PLAY button to play a certain channel from "TV Guide".

At the moment, if I want to change to another channel, I have to use the channel UP/DOWN button one by one which takes too much time.

Any help please ?

Try pressing the channel number and then hit "ok" on your remote. It works in a non-mvp environment. Curious... what country are you in?

Well all I can say is that it *should* work. When I press a channel number, the screen darkens, I get the channel number in the lower right and then a couple of seconds later it switches over.

My country is Vietnam.

I tried to press a number from remote control of MVP but nothing happened on the screen (i.e. screen didn't show any number I pressed).

I will try it again now and let you now.

Thanks. It works now. It is because the channel number is the number which is assigned to frequencies. Earlier I tried to press number 6, 7 etc. and nothing worked. I checked and found out that all my channels are from 100 and above. Now, I can jump to a certain channel by pressing the correct number.

However, my channels are discrete and the numbers are above 100. I am wondering how I can map them down to 1, 2, 3... etc.

===> SORTED !!! I mapped them down to 1, 2, 3 etc... now. It is so easy for me to jump to a certain channel now. Thanks for all your help !!!

Which PVR-150 and MVP version you have, PAL or NTSC? I want to setup GBPVR for my relative in Viet Nam too, but I can only buy the NTCS version here in US. Any places to get PVR150 over there.

Can you post the channel frequencies or link to this information? Thanks.
