hi guys. My GBPVR setup has been working great until this last week. I'm not sure if it's because i've installed the latest GBPVR (which came out at Christmas) but now what happens is:

my 'MediaMVP' shows "contacting servers...", and then it flashes the GBPVR page for a 1/10th of a second, and then goes back to "contacting servers..." in an endless loop.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both Mediamvp and gbpvr, but neither re-installation makes any difference.

If i disable the gbpvr service and enable the mediamvp services, the mediamvp works fine, so it's definitely something with gbpvr, but i'm not sure what. please - anyone help?

hi guys - one more thing - gbpvr and the recording service seem to work fine on the computer, so it's only the connection from the tv to the computer which seems flaky. but the connection is fine when i just use mediamvp and not gbpvr, so what could the difference be? I've read some threads here talking about the dongle.bin - is it possible that i need to replace this? if so, how can i find out what version mine is, and how do i replace it with a new version? or is this not the issue?

Looks like you've installed a Screen Saver plugin, and its not designed to work from more than one instance of GB-PVR at a time (ie, the developer has never tried it with an MVP). If you remove this plugin it should be ok.

It looks like you might have problems with the screensaver plugin.
If you remove that does it work?

thanks guys - thought it might be that. I had disabled the screensaver plugin which hadn't fixed the problem, but maybe i just need to remove the plug in completely. Don't you love it when people come to you with problems, and it's other add on stuff that's busted, not your stuff?

Smile thanks for all the great work sub.
