I don't have logs, I'm at work right now, but I was hoping maybe somebody could help...

Everything works with GBPVR on my computer, live TV, mp3, mpg, avi, etc.

Everything work on the MVP, except live TV. It plays for about .5 seconds, video and audio, then goes to a black screen. The show is still recording back on my computer... but the MVP crashes.

I can play video on the MVP with no problems. I can even restart the MVP and play the live TV show that was recording. I just can't watch live TV for some reason.

Things I've tried...

New mux filter
New pvr 250 drivers

Computer specs...

AMD athlon 2800+
1GB PC 2700 RAM
160GB HDD, 80GB free

Is this a symptom of a MediaMVP process that is not stopped? What else could be the problem... like I said, I have full functionality except for live TV, including scheduling recordings in the guide, music, and video playback.

Thanks, I can post logs when I get home tonight if needed...

Follow this thread and see if your issues is what's everyone else is talking about. I think I'm having the same problem, I have tried the patch listed in this thread but I haven't been able to do much testing yet.

Yes... I'm sorry, I forgot to mention the patch. I tried it. It's weird and I don't know if it's related to the patch or not, but I get about .25 more seconds of live TV before it crashes after I applied the patch.

Which bin file are you using? I found things were a little better after the patch with gbmvp.bin. I think the best improvements have been with the dongle.bin after the patch.

I'm going to play with it more tonight.

Tried both with the same results... Sad

I guess we need to watch the other thread and see where it takes us.

Good Luck.

You don't have any hauppauge services running???
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,
Fritz!box 7140 modem/router, GBPVR 1.3.7.

From the wiki page: http://www.gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manual/MVP

"""
11. When I start up my MVP, I get the Hauppauge GUI. How do I get the GB-PVR GUI?
Set the ‘auto start MVP servers’ setting in the config app to ‘1′ if you are running one MVP and more for extra MVPs.
Also make sure your set the Hauppauge MediaMVP services to not start automatically.
"""

I have these processes stopped, otherwise the mediaMVP software would start before gbpvr. Is this not correct?

Yes you are correct. If the Hauppauge mvp services are running, the mvp finds them first. Best to disable them.

Okay, I fixed the problem...

I did two things, but I think the first one actually fixed it...

1. One MediaMVP service was still running... I disabled it.

2. Set live TV pre-delay to 4000.

Thank you all for your help. I'm sorry it's such a dumb mistake...
