winlirc and gppvr to change channels on my hughes satilight reciever problem

Been going hard at gbpvr and got nearly everyhing working. Was able to configure winlirc and I am now able to change channels on my external directv hugher box from it. I am banging my head though getting gbpvr to change the channels on the hughes reciever. I have been following this thread:

The first part, I get errors in the wscript that seems related to the "transmit.exe" area. I did download an older version of winlirc v6.4 and using that since it had the transmit.exe. The script bombs out anytime it gets to a &quot. I tried the link about getting the older releases, but it is dead. I downloaded my v6.4 from the main winlirc page. The remote I am use is the grey remote that came with my PVR250. It works fine in changing the menu items on the main gppvr screen.

Guess I am just at a loss now on how to get this all together and my brain is fried. Maybe a beer might help the brain cells, or one of you smart chaps

I tried the java and the perl with no avail. Almost makes we want to switch back to cable, if only comcast had the NFL package...
