OK, I just installed this last night and I've been searching since. All I get is the hourglass spinning at the top, nothing else shows up. I don't see anything else obvious in the config settings, so anybody have any ideas?

Also, the second program listed in the required programs for DVD listing has a broken link and I didn't see any of the other programs that are said to be included with this plug in. (for downloading graphics and such)

Thanks for any help.

If you look in the jeff directory under gbpvr there should be a bunch of log files. Zip them up and post them here and I can take a look. The files for downloading graphics (only needed to run once) should be in the main gbpvr directpry. You can just double click on them to run.

Can zip up and post your config.xml file too? I think I may know what the problem is but it would be easier to look at the file first.

Thanks

I think the problem might be that you have your recordings directory set to c:\. If you store the recordings in a subdircetory (e.g., c:\My Videos) I think it may fix things.

Can I do that without hosing the existing DB?

ARRRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, VA is now working, but it doesn't have ANY of the data of the shows, just the recording date and time.

Jeff got back to me with the solution for my missing show descriptors. Worked like a charm!

Quote:GBPVR does an auto cleanup and removes all records for shows (video fles) that it can no longer find. However, if you look in your gbpvr directory you should see a file called recording-dump.xml. If you edit this file you will see a bunch of like

<recording>
<filename>C:\New Yankee Workshop\New Yankee Workshop_20060226_09301000.mpg</filename>
<channel>17 KCSMDT</channel>
<status>READY</status>
<startTime>2006-02-26 09:30:00</startTime>
<endTime>2006-02-26 10:00:00</endTime>
<title>New Yankee Workshop</title>
<subtitle>The Windsor Chair</subtitle>
<description>Carving the seat, turning the legs and fitting the steam bent rail of a fan back Windsor chair.</description>
<uid>EP0031120268</uid>
</recording>

If you edit all the <filename> items to have the new, correct path you can then import this xml file into gbpvr. I have never done this, but in the config app in the plug-ins tab there is a button that says import recordings.

I did a simple find/replace on the path and things are ducky! Thanks Jeff!
