Good Morning ... and happy Easter to all of you.

I just had a strange idea and would like to read your opinions about it.


What about an built-in function in GB-PVR that sends information about what users have recorded ?

Possible switchable to prevent privacy ...

So there could be a list on gbpvr.com where we can see what recordings have been done in the last days (weeks)

And on request (if anybody missed it) the file could be uploaded to a server, where the requester can download it ...

(this server could possibly be one of my machines, 2 of them are running 24/7 and have some space left on their HDs)

What do you think about that ?

Thanks for the consideration. I think most would appreciate your effort.

On the other hand, I believe what may be more important is what the program creators think of the idea. You would probably get in legal trouble.

It would have to be a closed network of users, its been discussed before as to how to do it and i think the legal implications got the better of it.

similairly i suggested an automatic bittorrent idea, but again its not worth the risk to GBPVR it seems, to start supporting illegal filesharing.

Oh ... I didn't think about laws in this case ...
It really might be a problem ...
