Yes I had the same problem too, funnily enough an uninstall of MP sorted it 
Of the two as its been said many times before, MP may look slightly prettier (But gbpvr has moved on a hell of a lot in the skinning front last 3-4 months!) but overall gbpvr is so much more stable and easier to use
