I've run into a problem since moving with my GBPVR machine. My stats are below. What I've found is that I can't seem to watch LiveTV or record anything new. The picture and sound are both wickedly scrambled. The weird bit is that all my saved shows (in the Video Library) play back just fine. Initially, I thought that the cable itself might have been damaged in the move but swapping it out with a new one did nothing. In moving, I've kept the same cable provider (Comcast) and cable package. All the components are the same, save the new TV (upgraded from a 26" Panasonic to a 32" Hyundai LCD). Here again, I would think it would have something to do with the new TV but since my pre-move recordings play just fine, I'm pretty-well stumped. Any ideas?

Can you post a screenshot or two so I know what exactly it looks like?

This may not pertain to you, but it is something to check out. When I first tried to use my brand new tuner card, I plugged the cable into it and it couldn't tune in any of the channels. They looked like they were scrambled. I thought this was really wierd because that cable was just hooked directly into my TV an it worked fine. I tried messing with everyhting I could think of, to no avail. Then someone told me that some tuner cards have rather weak tuners. They told me to try a cable booster. It worked like a charm. It seems as though my cable signal was a little weak, but my TV has a stronger tuner than the tuner card I bought for the computer.

You can get them at any electronic store... radio shack, best buy... (I got the RCA 4 way splitter/booster at best but)

Hope you figure it out!!

Did you make sure the card is in the pci-slot as it should be. Maybe it loosened while moving.

So, I just logged back in to see what sort of knowledge gold you wonderful folks on the forum had for me. Since a Radio Shack is just a couple of blocks away from my new pad, I thought I'd kick the tires on a signal booster before I bothered you all with screen shots. I got a cheap booster, installed it in line and the picture and sound were still scrambled, though a bit more uniformly, if that makes any sense. Hells Belles, I thought, I just wasted $17. So I take the booster of and reconnect the same cable that I had connected originally. Just for laughs, I try LiveTV. BAM! It works! The picture is even better than it was on my old TV at my old place. How this worked, I have no idea, but I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth...It might have been an ID-ten-T error to begin with. Thanks all...

Post a screenshot of what you see in GB-PVR, and it might help others understand the problem you're having.
