I'm trying to get GB-PVR working with my Hauppauge PVR250 for the first time.. I think I have it all set up correctly, and am able to schedule a recording, but even though GB-PVR claims to be recording, and then to have recorded ok, there is no file in my directory, and nothing happens when I select the "recorded program" within GB-PVR and hit play.

I'm also not able to watch Live TV. Never get any error messages. When I check the "recording status" it tells me my PVR250 is sleeping, even while GB-PVR claims to be recording (see attached screen shot)

I'm able to watch TV and schedule recordings fine in WinTV2000 that came with my PVR250..

The sticky said to attach a log, but the logs I see are over 300MB! I have logging set in "Debug" mode, so I guess I should set it to something else if I want a log to post here?

Any help would be appreciated! Smile

Willy.

ok, I see from a post directly below mine that maybe I needed to change the MPEG-2 settings from "default" to my MPEG-2 decoder - I did this (changed to Intervideo Video and Audio decoders), but same behaviour!

I think you've got your card type set incorrectly in your capture source settings.

Argh.. Spoke too soon.. Live TV watching now works ok, but recording doesn't.. GBPVR says it is recording, then says it recorded, however the status during recording is "PVR150 is sleeping" and the target directory for recordings remains empty.. Nothing happens when I try to watch the recorded program from within GBPVR...

I've attached the logs..

It looks like you've setup your recording directory incorrectly, or its on a network share inaccessible from the recording service.
