I have MusicaUno on TVE in the US set to record as a reoccuring recording. Today something else was in its place and even the TV Guide had the name of the other show in its place. Yet, the GBPVR recorded the show. Why? How can I fix this?

If you scheduled a one-of recording and the EPG was changed at a later date, it'd still recording at these original times... long story which I'm not going to go into again.

sub Wrote:What your describe is the expected behaviour for one-off recordings. GB-PVR does not attempt to remove this type of recording and reschedule it for the new time. While the your example above may seem pretty straight forward to identify the show from the new times, there any many situations where the show has moved beyond the end time, and GB-PVR has no way to tell if it is actually the same show. The title is not enough. Often there are several shows with the same title within a two or three hour period.

Season recordings behave a little differently. After the EPG data has been retrieved, but before it is stored in the database, currently scheduled episodes of season recordings are removed from the database, then the listings are removed, then the new listings are saved followed by the rescheduling of any season recordings. In effect, individual episodes of a season recording should be correctly updated if the it's times change.
I had set up my recording in enhanced web admin of 97.13 as a reoccurring show. It did not have the season option. If I had set the recording up directly with GBPVR the show would not have recorded seeing that the show was not even there? Or only if the time changed?

I'm not sure what options you chose in web admin, but the only types of reoccuring recordings are ether season recordings, or manual reoccuring. Manual Reoccurring recordings are not related to specific shows - they just have a start time and and end time. They will record regardless of what show is airing at that time.

The attached jpg is what I see when I set up a recording. It doesn't say season recording anywhere else in webadmin either that I can see. It gives me the time slot and day. This makes me think it is pretty much setting up a manual recording based on that info rather than based on the channel and show name.

I dont use the web admin myself, so I'm not that familiar with it, but it looks like a season recording to me (for a show called 'law & order'). If this was the very first episode in the season, this would also explain why it was not updated - this show is not deleted from the database since it is the master record from the season recording. If it wasnt the first recording, then it'll probably be the bug that some people encounter from the link jksmurf supplied above.
