I've set up GB-PVR with a Hauppauge 250 on an Athlon 850 and everything is working great except for the TV listings. Everything is off by an hour. I have not been able to find a setting in GB-PVR or zap2it where you can adjust the time. I have set my system time behind by an hour so that the TV listings show and record the correct programs, but the time is still off.
Has anybody encountered this before? I'm thinking that it may be because daylight saving time kicks in this weekend, I guess I'll see Sunday.

BTW, thanks for the great product.

GB-PVR uses your local PC timezone settings to determine zap2it times. I'm guessing these are set wrong.

Remember to use the "Empty EPG" button to clear the programmes you have already imported, which now have the incorrect times.

I had the same problem, and fixed it by choosing the 'appropriate' timezone in the config setup. I live in California, which is nominally GMT-8, but I noticed that the text associated with GM-7 said something like, Mountain Time / Pacific DAYLIGHT Time - thus, I should select this entry during summer. This still did not work until I emptied/reloaded the EPG of course. So you shoult NOT have to change your PC clock to be 'wrong' to fix this.

I thought I saw in the release notes for the latest version that handling of Daylight Savings was changed, but can't find it now.

In previous release I was manually calculating the dates and times based on the timezone setting you had to select. This setting and the need for it was removed in the last release, instead GB-PVR asks Windows to convert each of the zap2it times (which are in UTC) into local time. Windows does this based on your machines current timezone settings.

I have daylight savings where I live, and yes it is off by an hour for me too. If I disable daylight savings then it is correct, but I do not wish to do that :-(

Currently I set my clock back on the pc an hour so the listings and times match up

Hi Sub,

I ran into this problem also, and I got the last software update (as of last week), epmtied the EPG and re-loaded it, and noticed that the times are still off by one hour. Do I have to get into the DB to make sure that the data is really wiped after the "Clear EPG" operation? For me, turning the clock back is not a true solution because the PC uses an NTP timesource to adjust the time, so it will "fix" itself after a while.

I have not tried to delete the DB completely, but naturally, I wouldn't really want to do that.

Best Regards,

You shouldn't have to set the clock back, but you do need to check that you timezone is correct in the Control Panel's Date And Time Settings.

I dont think there is any problem with GB-PVR here, as it seems to be working for the vast majority of users.
