I have windows xp pro sp1 installed

hauppauge 150 works

1Gb of RAM
Nvidia geforce 5600 ultra

So basically file for .net installer tells me that I need the installer 3.0.

So I go and download this installer 3.0 which tells me I already have an updated version.

However, .net 2.0 constently tells me that it won't install cause it doesn't see 3.0.

I can install .net1.1 but GBPVR won't install. I really don't get what's wrong here. I just had to buy a new HD and redo everything from the start.

It worked the 1st time. This time it won't go as smoothly.

Let me know if you need anymore info.

Does .Net 2.0 work with XP Pro sp1? I thought it only worked with sp2.

Might need to update XP Pro to SP2 (If you can Wink ).

I think you can use the latest version of the Installer also (3.1?)

There hasn't been any other reports of problems installing .Net 2.0 on Window XP Pro, which of course is not a GB-PVR issue. Maybe someone else may have ran into similar problems.

.net 2.0 has worked with SP1 for me for a while. (just upgraded pc, and installed sp2)

I downloaded the re-dist file instead of using the online installer.

What version are you using?

I think Microsoft's line on .net 2.0 and XP SP1 is that "it might work, but is not supported".

I was just tryin to use the 1 from the link on the main gbpvr page.

I'll try the re-distro now though thanks for the info.
