Ok I have 2 dual tuners installed some of the qam channels map out the same as atsc. But I want multiple listings in the tv guide. It seems to be defaulting to qam, butting recording is defaulting to atsc. How do I manually create new channels that will get tv guide entries but have 2 listing 1 for atsc and 1 for qam.

Hard question I know thanks

If they're mapped to the same EPG channel, then they'll be treated as two possible sources for the same channel. If you wanted them mapped to different channels, you'd have to supply an epg source with different channels.

When recording, the app goes down the capture source list looking for an available device with the required channel. Live tv goes from the bottom of the list up.

Thanks I mapped most of them to the lower cable channels and renumberd them 2xx qam channels 1xx for atsc and xx for first 30 or so analog channels I get direct off of analog cable. QAM channels view fine but when I select record they use the analog tuner. I will disable them in the analog fixed cable setup and see if that fixes it.

Also when I have something selected to record off atsc on the first card I can not schedule something to record in the same time frame on the second card atsc(qam) setup. Where is the recording information stored, I think I need to delete the files. I have deleted the settings in recording section, but they seem to pop backup. I will hunt around the files after work and see if I can't find them.

Three qam channels have conflicts with the first atsc card ion, ion life and thistv. No listing in comcast portland area cable for these channels. What other source for show line up might I use besides schedulethis.

edit. I meant schedules direct Smile~

Its stored in the gbpvr.db3 database file.

Thanks I will have to do some more research and testing. Bummer everything is stored in that file db3 file. Might have to start from scratch unless I can find a way to edit it. Is that a sql file?

It's an SQLite v3 file. You should be able to use any SQLite utility like sqliteadmin.

As for having multiple listings, I would try to set up the ATSC channels to use mc2xml as sub suggested. This may give them separate IDs so GBPVR sees them as different channels.

I did the following to fix things up

1. I edited my channels in schedulesdirect to reflect the channels that I was using
2. Went into config and updated epg for atsc 1, analog 1,atsc(qam)2,analog 2 unchecking the boxes in epg listing for the channels not used by each channel.
3. rebooted for some reason the recording service gets messed up
4. ran pvrx2 and deleted all recordings in all categories and then existed.
5. ran pvrx2 and check to make sure no recordings where still there, i seem to have removed them all now.
6. tested recording on atsc 1 and atsc2(qam) simultaneously it now works

Info on the database may come in handy later.
