Weather startup time

Jeff,

When I install the Weather plug-in, the startup time for GBPVR.exe increases from 3 seconds to 22 seconds. Does this sound right to you?

During startup the plug-in tries to download the forecast for all the areas you have defined. Each area is downloaded in its own seperate thread. If you have a slow internet connections or msnbc.com is having problems I suppose it could be slow. Can you look in your gbpvr.exe.log file and see what it says? The weather plug-in logs messages when it starts downloading the weather. Maybe there is some sort of problem getting out on the web.

I was wrong. Its not Weather thats causing the long startup time, its Video Archiver. Sorry for the misdirection.

I've attached a zip file with 2 logs, one with no plugins, the other with Video Archiver.

I have a new version of the video archive plug-in that let's GBPVR start faster. I'm not sure that I saved your email address. If you send me a PM with it I can send you the update.

Will this new version be released soon? My startup time is ~2 minutes.
