GB-PVR v97.13
Dongle_30_24088

I have the DVD function enabled in the Plugins menu *and* in the DVD menu.

The DVD button appears in the GB-PVR menu when I view it on my local machine's GB-PVR viewer.

However, when I connect via my MVP, all the buttons *except* the DVD button appear. Unplugging and rebooting the MVP have no effect.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong??

Thanks!

There is no support for DVD playback on the MVP.

The closest you can it is by installing the XDVD plugin, which tries to convert a DVD to MPEG2 file on the fly for playback (no DVD menus etc). I cant tell you much about that plugin though - I've never tried it myself.

Thanks for the speedy reply Graeme.

What I'm trying to do is calibrate the picture on my TV set (black level, white level, tint, red-push) using the AVIA Calibration DVD. I have a Sony XBR400 that allows you to customize these values for each input source. The MVP's picture is *way* darker than the TV's built-in tuner--that's what I'm trying to compensate for.

Is there a way to "rip" the DVD files to a format that the MVP can display so that I can get these calibration test patterns up on my TV via the MVP??

Thanks!

If its something that plays through as a movie, rather than an interactive DVD menu thing, then you could probably use the XDVD plugin I referred to above, or I think there was another plugin called DVD2MPG - other than that, I dont know.

The dvd2mpg plugin is now part of the video archive plug-in. It will convert dvds to mpeg files.
