Question about TV listing

I'm new to this whole PVR thing, I have looked a few sites and TV listings (titantv, zip2it, etc), wondering how can I tell if certain show is new or rerun. Is there like a magic flag or ID for each episodes? or only by reading the description and guess?

Yes, Zap2It marks most reruns with “<previously-shown />”.
I’m pretty sure that EPGExtra adds rerun to the description field so you can see if a show is a rerun.

TVGuideSuperCharger adds a premiere marker “*” to the title so new shows and reruns can be scheduled separately. But it calculates if a show is new using the Original-Air-Date and ignores the <previously-shown /> data.
I choose this method because I wanted to mark a show as “new” for the entire day, and (optionally) until 6-AM of the following day, not just the first airing.

Hopefully one of the two will do what you’re looking for!
