Hi - I have a problem installing the drivers for this product.

The card was working ok two years ago the main problem was the poor picture from the set top antenna.

I remember I had quite a time getting it to work in the first place but then I fitted a new hard drive and reinstalled XP with service pack 2 and all the automatic downloads. For 12 months I didnt bother to re-install the card until I bought a new external roof TV antenna which receives digital signals.

So now when I have downloaded the new software and drivers I cannot get it to load the drivers. I get the message The KWorld DVB-T 100 BDA Driver Installation Failed.

I tried the old drivers from the original disk using the normal installation and again it failed.

If I look on Device Manager I have two yellow disks and a (!) on the following:
*Multimedia Controller
*Multimedia Video Controller

The Properties - General tab says = The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28) - To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.

If I remove the hardware the device manager goes back to normal and the Multimedia Video Controller dissapear along with the yellow alert icons. So they are the correct items for the hardware.

The Chip on the card is a CONEXANT CX23883-19

Then I try installing from Device Manager again it gets half way and then says Cannot Install this Hardware there was a problem installing this hardware - Mulitiedia Video Controller - An error occurred during installation of the device - The Data is invalid - Click finish -

If I delete the multimedia video controllers in Device Manager and the PC boots up, the PC finds the card, so its not a hardware issue.

I try installing the drivers in the Non Plug and Play section and get the driver as Conexant DVBT 2388x Video Capture which is the name in the chip in the PCI card. I click have disk and it finds AUTORUN.INF

Several times I have completely uninstalled all software re booted and fresh install and I keep getting the same results.

Is there any way to put the driver in place other than the software, maybe regedit can be tweeked to add the driver?

I would appreciate any help you can give as it is obviously a software problem as it did work before the new installation of XP.

Thanks Tim

I had a nightmare installing my card , and I am a tech for a living, my problem was related that already have a nova-t 90002 installed and it automatic installed a component under the nova-t instead of the dvb-t100.
Have you downloaded the latest version of the driver from the kworld site and done a forced install.
