Hauppauge Remote without PVR-150 card

I have a Hauppauge 45 button remote and a PVR-150 card (with the appropriate infrared (IR) attached to the computer). I would like to program the remote to do more (in particular, the plugin\program from member Ton to make the PVR window active if the computer has put some other program in the active window (keeping "focus" I think). From the forums, it seems that downloading HIP will allow me to do that but when I start the download, it asks me what plugins I want and lists a whole lot of things. I am pretty sure I don't need the MCE plugin because I am pretty sure my remote is not "media centre" compatable. Do you know what plugins to the HIP program I need besides "girder"? Is this a reasonable thing to try to do?

I have the same remote and the menu "i" key already allows me to switch tasks when gbpvr doesn't have the focus. The Irremote.ini file has the following line
MENU={switch(*task*)}{shift}{tab} in the [Default] section to do this. If you notice GBPVR doesn't have the focus, try the menu key.

Thanks fla! This was the first time I ever modified a file and it worked like a charm. I just need to make sure it doesn't go to my head such that I try to program the coloured buttons to do stuff without any instructions.
I noticed that I have to press menu key, right arrow and enter because the pressing of the menu key brings up a window on the computer that lets me choose between the two open applications. I am assuming the previously active window is listed first so that one push on the right arrow (assuming there is only 2 programs open) followed by the ok button gives me back control of the TV with the Hauppauge remote.
