Yes, but it does not have to be something that supports aspect ratio change...
I'm not always right

I use ... mainconcept now, I think, I need to change my codecs around soon, but there are a bunch of free codec packs out there, I have never had a problem changing aspect ratio, I have used intervideo, cyberlink, dscaler, and a bunch more, when I was trying to get rid of tearing before I realized it was my friggn video card

It could also be that one uses a decoder that locks aspect ratio. Purevideo, for example, has a setting that locks aspect ratio, and then gbpvr can ask for new aspect ratios for all it's worth; nothing will happen anyway.

If its not listed, but managing to work, then this means you have an MPEG2 decoder installed, but its not a common one, and not confirmed as working with GB-PVR.

The decoders GB-PVR that have been tested with GB-PVR, and confirmed to have worked correctly include:

bitcontrol® MPEG-2 Video Decoder,DScaler Mpeg2 Video Decoder,CyberLink DTV Video Decoder,InterVideo NonCSS Video Decoder for Hauppauge,InterVideo Video Decoder,CyberLink Video/SP Decoder (ATI),CyberLink Video/SP Decoder (PDVD7),NVIDIA Video Decoder,CyberLink Video/SP Decoder,Elecard MPEG2 Video Decoder,Moonlight-Elecard MPEG2 Video Decoder,MainConcept MPEG Video Decoder,MainConcept (Hauppauge) MPEG Video Decoder,Sonic Cinemaster® DS Video Decoder,Zulu HDTV Video Decoder(BDA),Nero Video Decoder,GPL MPEG-1/2 Decoder,MPV Decoder Filter

You can see its name listed in the gbpvr.exe-native.log, under the text "Graph contains the following filters:"

Its obviously not one of the common decoders I've listed above, so if its not working well for you, then I suggest you try one of these other decoders.
