Hi,
I'm new to the forum (have been using MythTV for a few years but my wife found it hard to use) so thought I'd try something different.. Impressed so far.
Anyway, thought I'd share a small success I've had with getting an Avermedia Aver TV DBS- Pro (also called an A700) DVB-S tv card to work with GBPVR. This is a commonly available card in NZ. A snippet from my bda.ini is below in case it's of use to someone..

So far card has worked perfectly, I'm able to get the EPG data via the card and channels come thru crystal clear (I'm in Akl NZ). Had a bit of an issue with my LNB settings (couldn't be bothered climbing on roof) but once I'd sorted that out it was sweet. For anyone that's interested the lnb settings for my card are 11300 for all 3 of the LNB settings, power is yes and the diseq is none. satellite I'm pointing at is Optus B1 with the free to air NZ channels. This is for a standard Sharp LNB that came with most Sky installs in NZ a couple of years ago. Not sure if new ones are like this as I don't have Sky, I'm only using an old dish that happened to be with the house when we bought it.
