Is there a plugin that shows upcoming conflicts on the Main Menu similar to the recording soon?

I believe the Video Archive plugin does this via the VA panel options

Yes, the VA Panel will do this as well as showing the date and time like the clock panel. It can also, optionally, show you upcoming recordings, low disk space warnings, an indication if the recording service is not running, the weather forecast, the currently playing music track, and stock quotes. It cycles through these at a configurable rate. It can also be configured to act as the screen saver.
