I have moved over to GBPVR originally from windows media center, then i tried media portal. I have always had the same Compro T300 tuners and they worked fine.

The wiki says that they are supported but when i try and comfigure the tuners in the config i select the 'bda' option and i can find the card in the list, but if i click on the 'only use tuners installed on this machine' it tells me that there are no suitable tuners inatalled.

I have the latest drivers installed and the cards work with the compro software.

I took one of the cards out to see if it was getting confused, then uninstalled all other software.

No joy. This is my first experience with GBPVR, is there some thing I am not doing or done wrong?

Is there some thing extra I need to Install?

I have two other cards I could try but they are in my living room machine that runs on Media portal. They are A Hauppauge HVR 1300 and a pinnacle 310i.

Would one of these be easier to set up?

Please, thank you, thank you, please!

The only driver version to really work properly in v1.3.1.24 I believe.
Otherwise you may need to change some settings in the BDA.ini file. Use GraphEdit (google it) to find out the exact names of "FILTER_TUNER" and "FILTER_CAPTURE". I think that it may have been case sensitive.
I posted a run-down on how I got my card working when it wouldn't find the channels in GBPVR. Search the forum for it if you think it might help - I'm too lazy to find it right now.
Good luck - I think that you'll find the software is better than the others that you have been using, I know I did.

Hi,

I had the same problem with a T200 - only works with the version of the driver that came with the card (can't remember what version though). Any newer drivers cause the card not to be recognised.

You could get round it as kram described but the older drivers are working fine so i'm leaving well alone (famous last words lol)
