Tim, Just testing your new version for the Radio, well done. Couple of questions

1. The file is stored as an mpg file, would there be any benefit in trying to store the file as mp3?

ie, with my 256kb upstream, i can just about stream 128kb mp3's using say the EWA feature.

2. Can you only select a radio station using the TV guide? i dont have a grabber for some radio stations.

thanks,

bill

That could be a possibility for the future- the point of creating an mpg was to allow radio via the "Live TV" function, particularly to the MVP (I didn't realise that it wouldn't work properly when I started developing!). Have you tried streaming the mpg? It's really not much more than an MPEG audio file, so won't require nearly as much bandwidth as an mpg file with video.

You could also setup a manual recording for the station you want.

Hope this helps,
Tim

I got the streaming working well.

Using GBPVR's EWA, it defaults to WMV/MP3/ASF, this was no good.
Changing it to one of the other options, such as MP4V/MP4A/MPEG-TS worked fairly well but then changing the EWA Video Size scale parameter to 0.00 gave solid playback. This allows me to start to record say BBC5 Live at home and then quicky kick off the EWA streamer to get "nearly live" radio streamed to me at work!

Have never used Live TV plugin, so will look at that in a few days time.
