Color Alpha / Transparency

Hey all,
Just wondering if there's any method in XML to have the transparency of a color be altered.
I'm going for the same effect as the TV Listings plugin. Where the shows that are currently playing are "brighter" (using the brightenCurrentShowsPercent).
I'd like to have that, but on the selected program instead.

I'm looking to alter the "SelectedNormalProgramme" NamedColor in the Skin.xml for TV Listings plugin.

Only some places in the skin files can use alpha values, and I dont personally use the TV Listings plugin, so sorry I'm not sure about this one.

Thanks for the reply anyway.

I don't think there is a way, but I was hoping maybe by chance there was a color attribute kind of like the gradient effects (i.e. ForwardDiagonal etc...) but for transparency.

I'll keep looking though.
