These are the steps that I take when running showburner
-Select an episode click on transcode.
-Choose add file to dvd
-Click on transcode again
-Choose Burn DVD

After I perform these steps the message box says something like "transcoding file..."

A new process called ffmpeg starts running

Eventually that process finishes running and ImgBurn starts running

As soon as ImgBurn starts running a msgbox pops up saying something like "Cannot find video_ts in c:\dvdtemp\video_ts"

Sure enough it seems like no files have actually been created. The folder e:\dvdtemp folder is completely empty.

Can someone help point me in the right direction? I tried searching the forums for a solution to this answer but couldn't find anything.
What do I need to do to make showburner actually create the video_ts and audio_ts files?

BTW I am still using .98 so I guess that means showburner version 2.3...

I'm having the same problem. The utility used to work (beautifully!), it just seemed to stop working. I might have changed something, but I don't remember (age showing).

I had the same problem in .98 with showburner 2.3 which was due to language settings. wih .99 and Showburner 2.5 this has been solved.

hmmm, you'll need to use the 2.3 version of showburner..
[and posting in that util's thread would have gotten help sooner..Smile]
2.5 is for 99.+ and 2.3 is for .98.x..
not really setup to support 2.3 anymore, but i'll help if i can..

are there any entries in the dvd-que file?
make sure the files aren't each larger than a dvd, it uses ffmpeg from gbpvr\third party\ffmpeg\ dir so it must be the real one included with gbpvr..
if you have voice capable version, what does it say when adding files?
is it the version with installer?

try using from cmd line: burndvd.bat add "file.mpg" --adds files...
"burndvd.bat" alone starts the burn...
after adding, check the dvd-que file in showburner dir..

I checked the dvd-temp file and it had one mpg in there.

But I found another thread that got me somewhere by adding quotes to parts of the burndvd.bat
Ok so I managed to get the program to burn my dvd automatically. The only problem is that it didnt seem to burn anything. When I open up the dvd, there seems to be no files in teh Video_ts or Audio_ts folders but somehow the dvd has 1.8gigs used up. So I checked my temp dvd directory and it also had the two video_ts and audio_ts folders (which it did not have before) but they also did not have any files in them. Now im really confused. Especially since the dvd has 1.8 gigs burned to it.
Any suggestions?

ahhh,ok yea, leave the burner empty till yuo're sure you're getting files in the temp dir...once they are getting made, jus do it again with a disc..

also, go back in and check that the dvdtemp dir is in "quotes" at top also...
[eg.: set dvdtemp="K:\dvdtmp\tmp1"]

and ffmpeg.exe sections...put a complete [ath with quotes around it..liike:
"c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\third party\ffmpeg\ffmpeg.exe"
[for every instance of ffmpeg found, also one in adddvd.bat in showburner dir..]

or just send me your burndvd.bat and adddvd.bat files and i'll see what i can do..
also include what you use for path for gbpvr, dvdtemp and dvd drive letter..

I tried your suggestions and it seemed to work less. So I broke down and installed .995 and showburner 2.5. Works great!! Burned and everything. One thing I noticed was that there was no files in the audio_ts folder. The DVD still plays fine on my dvd player. I had a similar result with myvideos rc5 (no audio_ts files)the dvd played fine on my dvd player but on my friends old dvd player there was no sound. Is there an option to add audio_ts files?

hmm, never supposed to be anything in the ts_audio dir on any video dvd...
that dir is for Audio-dvd files....no video goes with them...
most don't even need the ts_audio dir to even be there, but it's a part of the spec technically...and some need to see it there even tho empty..

so not a problem..Smile

yea, 99.5 works fabulously! check out he speed of livetv->timeshift...instant!
plus the reminders...Big Grin push play on a future tv show...will remind you when time comes to watch it...

pBS,

I also solved my problem by upgrading. All works well. I just wanted to say thank you for an excellent utility.
