Folks
Apologies if this is in the wrong place ..

I have recently managed to get GB-PVR working with my HDX1000 NMT.

I ran musicscanner (from its icon in my toolbar) and it appeared to successfully find some 5000+ music files on my server. These are all in WMA Lossless format.

Two questions

Firstly the WMA lossless files play fine in GB-PVR on the server but fail to play when I access them from the NMT. I am assuming that this is because the NMT does not support WMA Lossless codec?

Second ... when musicscanner imported all the song titles, album art etc. It did not import the song titles in album order.. It appears to have catalogued everything in alphabetical order (bit frustrating as it plays albums out of sequence). Is this normal or also related to support of WMA lossless audio files?

Cheers

1) Have no idea, I do not know anything about that NMT but you are probably right, there is probably no support for lossless WMA.

2) The sorting orders:
* Folder View - Folders and files read from harddisc and sorted in alphabetic order
* Artist View - List created by SQL queries against the DB. Artist list is sorted in alphabetic order, Song - Artist - Album is sorted in Artist, then album, then track number
* Album View - List created by SQL queries against the DB. Album list is sorted in alphabetic order, Song - Artist - Album is sorted in Artist, then album, then track number
* Genre View - A list from all songs in database is created and sorted in alphabetic order

I am not sure what you mean with "album order" But maybe one thing would be to add the field for year in the sorting, this would show the Albums in correct order for a artist IF the songs tag for year is correct. Is this what you mean with correct album order?

I just googled a little and find this about lossless WMA and NMTs

Where I also see that Sprogger have left a comment where he claims that there is no support for lossless WMA :-)

I think the "album order" referred to is "track order" or the ability to list the tracks in the same order that they are listed in on the CD cover. It appears that your Artist View and Album View both list the tracks in the proper order.

Sprogger, select the "Mode" option in the left onscreen panel. Each time you select it will toggle the view mode. If you're using a Hauppauge remote then I believe that pressing the blue button will also toggle the mode.

Because the F7 sort view key isn't available on the PCH I mapped it to the Red key using these instructions
