Sub, I know that you do not receive Closed Captions on your part of the world. You were able to add support for closed captions on Analog PVR250-350 because the Hauppauge drivers can be "tweaked" to save the CC within the MPG stream.
Now, just for clarification. I am talking about US closed captions, no DVB-S subtitles, which I believe we do not receive from Dish Network anyways.
My DVB-S Twinhan 1020 , using MyTheatre and VMR9 with an InterVideo Codec can also display closed captions that are embeded on the MPG stream directly from the incoming dishNetwork Sattelite stream. But I am sure that the location of the closed captions is different than the one from the analog sources.
If I could set up a TS Captured with the TwinHan Capture utility, say 250 MG, and put it somewhere on an ftp server, do you think you have some time to look at it and see if you can identify where Closed Captions are being sent ?
I just do not have the tools or the knowledge, but If I could find some info on it, may be there is already an utility that can extract the CC from the mpg stream and convert ti to SRT format.
