After installing and becoming rather fond of GB-PVR I've been looking to extend it's presents to another room that currently only has a stereo in it. Reading about the MPV I have a few questions.

First off:

Would a P4 1.3Gz 640Mb FX5200 Nova-t have the power to stream live tv to a MPV.

Would the addition of a second tuner (ie Nova-t 500) allow both the MVP and the base system to watch live tv simultaneously.

Is it possible to connect an MVP to a computer monitor (like this one) with a SCART -> VGA connector such as these 1 2

Thanks for any help

The PC is sufficient... I ran 2 MVPs on a 1.1 GHz Celeron. The MVPs put much less of a playback load on the PC than viewing with the PC. The only problem I ran into with a low end PC and the MVP's was the Next Recording widget, but it's easy to disable and not all people experience the performance hit that I did.

Don't know the answer regarding the monitor and scart connector.

When RadioShack was dumping their MVP's they were cheaper than a decent video card & gave a better picture than my old radeon 7000.
For a while I was using an MVP on a 750mhz Athlon while I was testing GBPVR. It was a little sluggish when it came to the menu's, but I was able to pull off Live TV without much of a problem.

Looking at the FAQ at your second VGA connector reference I would assume the combination works. I have never done it, hence I can't say anything about the quality of the picture you get.
