I have 2 leadtek dtv1000t's. I have the one with the aerial connected to it, then the other with an aerial cable(2m long) from the first into it.

setting them up in gbpvr was relatively painless. it found both of them (after editing the ini), and each one had no problems getting full signal and picking up all the channels.

what my problem is - is when it is recording, it wont let me watch another program on livetv. it goes black for a little bit and then comes up with no signal, but both of the green bars are full. the recordings are fine and look great.

has anyone ever had this problem with two cards? what can I do?

Do you know for sure that the drivers for this device support multiple cards? Have you seen both the cards work in any other software?

I dont know for sure, only that on the back of the box for the card it had a picture of two cards in one machine and said that you could with mce and its own software. I havent heard of or seen anyone do it though unfortunately.

ok, just a guess cos I dont know your card, and I'm not 100% clear on how you have connected the cards to the aerial - but I think you need to split your incoming aerial with a "Y" splitter and have it going to both cards. Not into one card then looped into the other.
(e.g if this were a hauppauge card then you would have connected the FM radio socket of card 1 to the TV aeriel socket of card 2).

edit: OK apppologies, I just found a spec for your card ,and it seems it IS an antenna loop out - but it still might be worth trying my suggestion in case the loop out is broken......

Make sure you have one set as Recording Device #1 and the other as Recording Device #2.

well it seems after screwing around for a bit I have fixed the problem. I have been playing with heaps of settings, both hardware and software, I unplugged the cards and plugged them back in a few times, installed ffdshow, cyberlink powerencoder, and just played with heaps of settings, and now it seems to work. I suspect that the aerial loop was the problem, as I havent been able to recreate it any other way. but thanks for the help everyone.

and I also wanna add that I am overall extremely impressed with gbpvr. both on the software side and the support side. I am building a pvr for my dad, as he has seen my foxtel IQ (in australia) and wants something similar but for free. thanks guys.
