Database error on client

I got the client to successfully start, but when I go to the 'Recordings' page, I get the following error:

Error: SQLite error
no such table: RECORDING_SCHEDULE

I checked in the .mdb, and the table is indeed there (shows empty, though, which is odd because if I run GB-PVR on the server machine two recordings show up). The only oddity to my setup is that I have the database share pointing to a shared directory containing hardlinks to gbpvr.mdb and config.xml, because I'm on a fairly large network and don't want to expose program directories on a windows share.

Your error typically means its not finding the database.

Is there a way to figure out where it thinks the database is? I have the 'database share' in the configuration on the client set to the network path to the directory containing the database. I tried mounting the directory as a drive and pointing it there, but that was also unsuccessful (I had thought that perhaps it was unable to ask for the password on the share).

an SQlite error is trying to connect to the gbpvr.db3 database. not the .mdb...
perhaps you started the conversion from ,mdb to .sqlite and didnt finish.

Post the client logs and I'll take a look.

SniperDude is right though, its gbpvr.db3 not gbpvr.mdb.

Adding a hardlink to the gbpvr.db3 file fixed the problem. Thanks!

So if I clean installed a new or fairly new version of GBPVR, it is using the DB3 files, right? I looked in my MDBs tonight, and they are blank. I'd like to manually edit my database and get rid of those weird entries in my conflicts screen.

Its only some old installs that are still using the MDB database.

There is lots of tools that'll let you edit the SQLite database. SQLiteExplorer etc.
