I recently switched from Windows XP to Windows 2003 and have gotten everything but the irblaster that comes with the pvr150 to work. Are there any secrets to making this thing work or does it simply not work at all? If it doesn't work what alternatives do I have?

Thanks!

I don't really know anthing about the PVR 150 IR Blaster, but for alternatives I personally use a serial ir blaster (http://irblaster.info/ - $15 w/shipping) in conjunction with winlirc (open source) and 'digits.exe' (binary written by a forum member). This is on XP, but I would be shocked to find out that it wouldn't work on Win2K3.

Do you have it working with the Hauppauge BlastCfg app?

In XP yes, in 2k3 I get errors when trying to install the program.

ah, right. I'm guessing you'd have to ask Hauppauge about that one. Once its working in there, then it should work with GB-PVR.

Ahh I got it to work. The initial driver/software install got messed up. Reinstalling it did the trick. BlastCfg starts and GB-PVR can control the dish box.

Thanks Smile
