I am running Vista Business and a PowerColor Theatre Pro 550. I had GBPVR (not sure what version) working yesterday before I upgraded to Vista and installed the latest version.

I am guessing there is something simplistic I forgot to do. When I go to watch live TV I can hear the sound from that specific channel but the picture never comes up. The screen stays on the menu but the sound continues to play.

If I go to tuning assistant then I can clearly see the picture for each channel. There is no cutting in and out, the picture is perfect. So I am not quite sure what is going on.

Did you install an mpeg decoder on your new machine? It sounds like you're missing one.

Maybe not. Where can I get one. Would that explain being able to see picture in the tuning assistant though?

I think the tuning assistant uses a built in decoder that is not available to the application.
Installing the Theatre 550's original application should supply you with one. If not installing other third party DVD players will give you one.
You can also try DScaler, a free mpeg decoder.

So I installed whatever ATI had for my card and Vista 32bit.
Here is what I installed: http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/vista...sta32.html

I take it that is not enough to get GB-PVR running.

I believe that will give you the drivers for the card, but you would still need an mpeg decoder.
If you can't play mpeg files (dvd's) on your machine then you don't have one installed.
