You want a LOCAL unified place for getting the images. Yup, that's a good idea. I could easily incorporate it into my Netflix plugin too.
This was more an issue of some consistency amongst the various Plugin providers (VA / Xrecord etc....) as to WHERE the images go, whether they can be downloaded on an EPG basis (everthing in the db3) or on a per recorded show basis, where they search for them (TVGuide, IMDB or even custom locations?), icon sizes and formats .... etc.
