It is picky about if there is another BT787 driver installed - I tried putting it in my "test" machine first, but it wouldn't install and I couldn't figure out how to uninstall the existing bt787 drivers (I had an Avermdia software tuner card installed previously). The manual does note that it won't work with another card that uses the bt787 chipset.

I put it in my main GBPVR box and install went fine. I was able to scan channels and record with no problems.

Thanks for the info.

For $40 it was hard to pass up so I ordered one.

I was thinking about adding it to my system with the Fusion5...I'm not sure what chip the Fusion5 uses. If it doesn't work there I'll put it my other system in place of a 150MCE (I run two GB-PVRs, one for each TV). They share drives over the network so it really doesn't matter much which it's in.

I'll post my results...

That's pretty much what I thought - for $40 it's worth a go. Pretty affordable for HD.

I forgot to mention that I wasn't interested in the analog tuner, since I have PVR150's if I wanted analog. So i didn't mess with the analog configuration.

I have a 150 and a 500 in the box I'm planning to put the Twinhan in so I really don't care about the analog side. I'll probably replace the 150 with the Twinhan and maybe move the Fusion5 into it as well. Depends on how it all plays together. At least that's the plan du jour. Having multiple systems makes things more flexible. Smile I'll probably give the 150 to my daughter far yet another GB-PVR system. Between taking care of all the computers and all the cars in the family, I don't know how I have time to work... Big Grin

Just to follow up on this, I got the Twinhan card, downloaded the latest BDA drivers, and installed it in place of one of the 150MCE cards. I added a capture source for it, ran the scan, assigned channels, and it seems to work just fine. All went as expected (hoped?). I've recorded a couple shows with it and am pleased with the results. Not bad for $40...less than half the cost of the Fusion5 card.

That system has a 500MCE and a 150MCE in addition to the Twinhan. They all seem to get along. If I feel particularly adventuresome I may try putting it in the other system with the Fusion5...

They still appear to have them in stock...http://3btech.net/twatdiandanp.html. Shipment was quick. I may even get another one...

Anyway, just in case anyone else is looking for an inexpensive HDTV tuner card...
