No matter what I do with gbpvr, the swap file gets eaten up until I have to shut down gbpvr to clear it out. I had to do this after an hour.

Why does this happen? Can it be fixed?

make sure you have applied the patch described in #4 here

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=24855

btw: how much ram do you have? IMHO you need 512MB minimum, 1GB to give you some headroom. depends on how gbpvr is configured, size of EPG and (importantly) what plugins you use.

Yep, what he said - make sure you've got that patch applied.

If you still seem to have issues, what DLLs are in your 'plugins' directory?

I'm currently running 512 mb of PC2100 with a Radeon 9700 Pro, nforce based mATX board, and a 2400+ AMD64 Thoroughbred. My better system is unavailable, but I suppose I could get more RAM.

512 mb should be ok assuming you're not running lots of other apps at the same time.

Did you apply the patch we mentioned above?

I downloaded the files & put them in the GBPVR folder. Now the memory usage stays the same ... thanx for the diagnosis.
