Interestin problem - Aspect ratio changes when viewing recordings

Hi guys and gals -

If I view live, the aspect ratio is set to 16:9 wich works since I have a 22" widescreen and 42" plasma widescreen, but when I view recordings, they are not widescreen.

16:9 is set in config, and I am using PureVideo for the mpeg2 decoder.

Purevideo is set to the following:

Display type: anamorphic/raw (says this is for 16:9 widescreen)
Prefer overlay is selected.

In GBPVR config, the renderer is set to VMR9 Custom (if this matters)

Any help is appreciated, and I attempted to search this issue in the wiki and this forum, if it has been answered please just link me.

Have you explicitly selected the nvidia video decoder in the playback tab, or are you picking it up via the 'system default'? From memory, the auto aspect ratio stuff will only work if you explicitly select the video decoder.

If you already have it selected, then reproduce the problem and zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

when you play live tv set your aspect ratio (click icon in task bar )
then close
open video and set it again
seems to be 2 different settings well that what i found anyway
i use pure video aswell
under misc check you have encoder pass through selected under live preview mode

must be done while playing the video or watching live tv
