I get the following error trying to install v0.17! Why?

Parameter name: String.

Details:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.

My guess is you didn't install the required software. Uninstall GB-PVR if it's in the add/remove list, install the .NET Runtime and try again.

Or possibly you did'nt uninstall GB-PVR before installing the new version? As a guess, it looks like its trying to parse a number field from the config.xml file, but that field doesnt exist?

just a little question: must i remove the old version of gbpvr, before installing the new one? i just installed it onto the old version an it seems to work. i only had to reconfigure it. i hope, my gbpvr is not a mixture of both versions....

I think that's the recommended procedure, however I did a "repair" when I upgraded mine and it seemed to work. I had to set most things back up again anyway, so I guess an uninstall and reinstall would be cleanest.
