sometimes I am recording a program, and than we I use my computer. Not open GBPVR or any other media program/recording source. GB-pvr will stop recording. Why does it do that, and what can I do to stop that?

What capture device are you using?
Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

The logs are created in the "logs" subdirectory off the main gbpvr directory. Zip and attach all the logs that have "GBPVRRecordingService" in the name.
Also let me know when the recording occurred so I know where to look in the logs.

Are you sure its stopped recording during the recording? The logs indicate it successfully started the recording at 1:30, and successfully stopped the recording at 2:30. Its very unusual for an analog device like a PVR150 to stop producing data mid stream.
There is a PVR150 timestamp bug that cause the duration to be reported incorrectly, and also have problems skipping backwards/forwards within the file. A fix for this problem is here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=14006 If its not that, a couple of people in the past have found their capture devices could stop producing data when they were sharing an IRQ with some other device (usually a soundcard), though I havnt seen a mention of this problem for a very long time, so I'd assumed Hauppauge had fixed the problem in the drivers.

okay, but I open the file in in WMP 11, and the file reads only 22:45

VJDavis2 Wrote:okay, but I open the file in in WMP 11, and the file reads only 22:45Yes, as I said above, the PVR150 timestamp bug reports incorrect durations like this. So you might find that WMP or GB-PVR reports the file is 22 minutes 45 seconds long, but if you left it playing (in GB-PVR at least), it would play for the full hour. You cant skip around through the file to test this, since the broken timestamps affect the ability to skip within the file. You have to just leave it playing to check.

It is the time stamp, the entire hour worked just fine. Thanks for all the help!! I also updated with the new driver.
