editing channel numbers

I am considering getting a HD capture card.

I know the listings around here have a different channel number than what they actually are.
the cable boxes move the channels around for some reason. but if I just get the unscrambled channels on the PVR without the box (I dont have a box) then I will need to tell GBPVR to record a different channel than is in the listing.

I just want to know if this is possible before I go buy a new capture card.

You can edit the channel numbers in the config app.

just ordered a HVR1600 w/ QAM

in about a week I hopefully wont be asking too many questions.
