Well I thought I was almost home free with getting QAM to work on the M780. Unfortunately not though. I tried a QAM HD recording today and the first thing I noticed on the file is that it was an MPEG file not a TS file. Any particular reason? I know other PVR programs I've worked with in the past (BeyondTV) will just pass the TS file along and not make it into an MPEG.

So here is the necessary info: GB-PVR Version: v1.0.16

I've also attached all of the logs too. Thanks in advance everyone! :confused:

Unfortunately I dont really know much about this device. If the recording is zero bytes, this usually indicates the device failed to lock onto a signal.

The type of file you get depends on the mux you have selected on the misc tab of the config app.

If you have an mpeg mux installed and selected it will output to mpeg.

if not it will output to whatever you have selected or the default system

Go to MISC tab in the config under BDA Mux.

as far as recording 0KB, that was happening to me;

you may need to initialize teh QAM side of the card. Try watching what you are recording live... i would suspect it is all black with no sound.

see the thread here.

start avermedia center, go to HD QAM channel. Close avermedia center. open GBPVR and start/try your recordings.

middle area for my tips.
