EGP no updating

Make sure you aren't running SlimmGBPVR - it will automatically restart the recording service if it sees it is stopped! (maybe the default tray icon does that also - I don't know, but I would exit both of them and stop the recording service before updating.)

The recording service AND the tray icon must be stopped before you apply the patch.

Hi Guys,

I ensured that the recording was shut off and the tray icon was closed, but still I get the same error that was posted with a screen shot AFTER I updated the .dll file from the survival guide.

I understand that everyone is saying that the .dll file wasn't updated, but I ensure you that I have updated the file.

Also, I un-installed GBPVR and deleted the saved settings etc. Then I reinstalled and replaced the .dll file before I even configured GBPVR. I still am getting the posted error.

Any ideas?

Edit: It was not the exact message, it was an "Un-Authorized 401" message. Then I noticed that I was putting in my email address because that was what GBPVR was asking for, when it actually wanted my login name not my email address.

Same thing here, I am 100% sure I did the update with the recording service stopped and everything shutdown.

zap2it is no longer updating, so I guess there is nothing to update cause I haven't subscribed to the paid EPG service.

zap2it is gone, so of course its not going to manage to get listings from it.

If you're not subscribed the new Schedules Direct service, then the patch is going to do you no good.
