Tuners are swapped

Sub, I just tried the Catalyst media center, and was able to watch two stations simultaneously in their MulTView tab. I was able to correctly and independently change channels using that application.

As for things working fine with PVR150, perhaps it's because users of that card don't set AutoDetectEncoderMethod=0. With that setting to 2, there is no channel mix-up, but ATI users can't use both cards simultaneously. With the setting to 0, the cross-tuner mix-up occurs.

Sorry, I dont know. GB-PVR has always had issues with multiple 550 cards.

I dont have two of them, so its not something I've every been able to test and look into.

Sub, can you shed a little light on what the AutoDetectEncoderMethod setting does? Since this setting seems rarely used (only by dual ATI tuner card owners?), might it be possible to look into just the section of code for the AutoDetectEncoderMethod setting to see if possibly there's a call to the wrong card somewhere?

From memory, AutoDetectEncoderMethod=2 uses Microsofts recommended approach to find the encoder filter, by finding the encoder filter using the pin medium type. This works fine for all cards I've come across except the ATI 550. AutoDetectEncoderMethod=0 just uses the device numbers, ie if you've got the capture source configured for device #2, then it uses the second ATI 550 encoder.

The two cards are identical, so if I replace the driver, it will do so for both. I don't know of a way to replace them separately.

you can add what ever driver you want i have done it on my pvr500 and it has 2 tuners on the one card
you just go into device manager and remove old driver and add new one
