I'm thinking of picking up a Samsung SIR TS-360 direct tv receiver for OTA ATSC. Mainly wanting it so that it'll downcovert to 480i and I can capture it on one of my PVR150's.
Since it has a serial port, I was wondering if anyone has been able to use it to change channels instead of irblasting? I've only been able to be about 85% with IR Blasting - not sure if it was how I was doing it or what, but I'd prefer serial control of the unit.
Anyway, if anyone has any clues or experience on doing this, please let me know!
