Hi all,

I have searched for this and only found 1 occurence (about 2 years ago)that matched mine. (Indexing service was to blame. I had already disabled this service before installing gbpvr.)

I can not delete videos from the Video Library. These are windows media files that I've downloaded off of the Internet. I copy them into the appropriate folders. I can watch them fine. I can delete them fine from Windows Explorer. I just can't delete them from within gbpvr. (Using the <Delete> option in the menu does nothing)

I'm using the latest PVRX2. (Although, I had this problem with .99 release as well)

Any ideas?

Thanks

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs. I'll take a look.

I cant actually see the attempt to delete in these logs. Did you do it on the PC or the MVP?

I used the pc, but the MVP also exhibits the same behavior. It sorta makes sense that you're not seeing anything in the logs because scrolling to <Delete> and pressing the <Enter> key or <OK> on the remote acts like nothing happens.

At least one of your folders is on a share. Do you have the proper permissions on the share to allow a delete?

mvallevand,

No, the GBpvr user does not have permissions to delete from the share. (this is deliberate). The user does have full permissions to the local folder, however. And this is where I can not delete from.

Don't know if it helps, but I've been suffering with this problem on .99.12. For me, the files won't appear to delete until I quit and relaunch GBPVR. It almost seems like its a display problem (the files really do delete, it just doesn't appear that way.)

So you might want to try that as a workaround.
