Rewind and Fast Forward not working

I am having trouble with the Rewind and Fast Forward actions. I noticed with with my remote key presses not taking effect and then tried from the keyboard and still not response. The video I am trying to play is .wmv.

Any ideas ?

btw is there a way to specify the intervals for the Rew/Fwd keys ?

I was reading the configuration wiki and came across this....

Use short skip instead of FW/RW
Skips a short amount of time forward instead of playing back the file at an increased speed.

So I'm curious now how I would "play back the file at an increased speed" ?

The 'use short skip instead of FF/RW' setting has been enabled by default in all new install for a very long time. I've preferred it to the old faster playback method, which was limited to double speed (too slow), and had problems with lots of combinations of decoders.

When I rewrote the user interface, I didnt bother implementing the old style FF.

Sorry, you'll just need to get used it's behaviour.
